We just started using Paperback Swap, and so far we are enjoying it. What you do is you list as many books a you want, start with 10 to get your first 2 credits. A credit is what you use to get a book. When you send out a book you get one credit and you can use that credit to get one book from another member. Each book is worth 1 credit, audio books are worth 2.
What happens if you don't have any credits and someone lists a book that you want? Well you have a few options, list more books and hope someone wants them, see what books others have on their wish list and see you have it and list, or you can purchase a credit so you can get the book you want right away.
I just listed my first few books about two days ago and I have already had 8 members request a book. So, my 2 credits + the 8 credits I will receive for sending out these books will give me 10 credits!
I get 10 credits = 10 books! You know how much we LOVE books at our house!
You do have to pay to ship the books to someone else, but you don't have to pay to have the books shipped to you. Once you get the books they are yours. You can read them and relist them or you can keep them. It's totally up to you!
If you would like to try them out go to the Paperback Swap website, and when it asks who referred you please put in momcrafting4fun. That way I get credit for referring you. Thank you!

Save Money Renting Movies With Blockbuster Total Access
We love movies at our house and have tried all the movie rental programs and reward programs.
We found the Blockbuster Total Access Program to be the best fit for out family. We pay a monthly fee and then set up our queue or list of movies we would like to see. Blockbuster then send us the movie, we watch it, and then we either send it back or take it to the the local brick and mortar store down the road and exchange it for a movie in the store for FREE. The store sends it in for us and Blockbuster online sends us our next movie right away. So it's like double the movies!
There are no due dates or late fees for the movies that you get sent to your house. Watch them when you want and send them back when you want. It's like having the video store delivered to your home!
Save Money Renting DVDs With Netflix
Do you love movies? Is the price of going out to the movies or even renting movies starting to break the bank?
Try using Netflix as a way to help you save money renting DVDs. You pay a monthly fee and then you set up a queue or a list of movies you want to see. Netflix sends you the movie, you watch it, and send it back and they send you the next one on your list.
It's liking having the video store delivered to your door!
Use Bookswim To Save Money On Books
Do you read a lot of books? If you do, then you know how expensive it is to keep buying new books! How can you keep your love of reading alive and not go broke?
Here are some options available to book lovers. You can frequent your local library, we have library cards to all the libraries within a 10 mile radius of our home! You can only buy books that are on sale or clearance, goo idea if they have books you like and want.
But all of these ways require you to leave your home, in the heat and get in your car and use up precious gas. And with gas prices being what they are, this can be a scary thought!
We suggest that you try out bookswim. Bookswim works like netflix but it's for books instead of DVDs. You pay a base price for the month and then you get to make up your queue or list of titles you would like to read. They send you the book, you read it, and then send it back! Pretty good deal especially if you don't want to keep the book!
So, go ahead and give them a try. It's like having the library delivered to your door!

Cheapest Price For The Entertainment Book
Those of you who know how great the entertainment book is may have been putting off buying it until the price had dropped.
Well, the price has dropped! At under $10 a book, if you eat out once and use a coupon from this thing you've paid for it. But it is full of coupons for car rentals (I never rent a car without this book in my hand), video stores, movie tickets, and grocery stores.
There's a ton of stuff in these books, and we grab them whenever we're thinking about going out to eat. And for those of you who like to double coupon shop, I know our local edition includes Ralph's coupons to save even more.
Get the 2008 book for only $9.99!

Save on Hooked On Phonics
One of the things that scared me the most about homeschooling when we first decided to home school, was how was I going to teach my girls how to read. I don't remember learning how to read, I've been reading as far back as I can remember. My husband was reading by the time he was four so he was no help either.
Reading was a big concern for Erik and I, we are both avid readers. And we honestly have more books in our small two-bedroom apartment than anything else. We have more bookcases than any of other furniture added together, and we still do not have enough shelf space to hold all our books! Our dream house consists of a large library type room filled from ceiling to floor with books.
Also, we felt that if they can master reading then they will be able to master anything else that they will want to. As long as you can read you can learn anything.
Then my mother-in-law wanting to support us in our decision, purchased the complete Deluxe Hooked On Phonics system for us. Well, we have been using it now for 1 1/2 years and let me tell you, it has worked with our girls! They are reading and loving it! Thanks Mom!

Save Money On Video Rentals
We love movies at our house. If we were able to afford it, we would go out to the movies every week. But, as it stands now we simply can not afford that luxury. So, how do we still enjoy movies? We rent them.
We have done almost every movie rental company, brick and mortar store, as well as online. Our favorite pick is Blockbuster! Why? You get movies sent to your house for one monthly fee, you keep the movie as long as you want and then send it back in a prepaid envelope. But what we love the most is that you also have the option of taking your movie to the brick and mortar Blockbuster storefront and exchange it for any movie in the store for FREE! Yes, you read that right, for FREE! And on top of getting a movie for FREE you also get a new movie sent out to you from your queue on line. How great is that?
How does Blockbuster Total Access's price compare to other online rental companies, well it's basically the same price. Plus you get the added bonus of being able to exchange the movie in-store as well.
How does Blockbuster Total Access's price compare to other brick and mortar stores special customer programs and rewards, again it's basically the same. Plus you get the added bonus of having the online.
So, you see you basically get two great offers in one!
And now you can get your first month of Blockbuster's Total Access for half the price! What could be better? Try it and see if you don't agree with us!

Make Money Selling Your Old Books
Okay, I know that this site is mostly for saving money but hey we can all use a good recommendation for making money. Right? After all, you need to have money to be able to save money! Now this isn't going to make you rich but it will help you get a few extra dollars here and there.
If you are like us you have a ton of books at your house. We could lead the Book-a-holics Annonymous support group! What do you do with all the old books that were good the first time but your never going to read again, or the ones that weren't any good or just aren't your thing?
We have found some great sites that will let you sell you old books. We have been using Half.com for quite some time now, and average between $10-20 a month, like I said you're not going to get rich this way! Using Half.com is easy, you type in the ISBN of the books, dvds, or whatever you are selling. You then put in the condition your item is in and you get to pick how much you want to sell them for. If you are like me and just trying to clear out space, then price the items to go, at rock bottom prices. But if you are trying to make a lot or have an item that is worth a lot mark it at a higher price. That's it your done. You will get an email notifictaion when your item sells, and then you have 3 days to ship out the item. Now comes the shameless plug, feel free to check out my Half.com book shop, I am constantly adding new items.
I just came across a new site that will also buy your books, Cash4Books.net. It's easy enough to use as well. You go to their site, put in the ISBN of the books you want to get rid of and they will let you know if they are currently buying those books they will quote you a price an you decide if you are willing to sell them at that price. They will then send you a printable postage label. If you can not print from your computer than you can request printing labels from them to be mailed to you, you would then have to pay postage but they will reimburse you. I have not as of yet done business with them but I am willing to give it a try to clear out the space!
These are just a couple of places that we use to help clear up space on our bookshelves, and make a couple of dollars in the process. What are the places that you use?

Save Money On Textbooks by Using iChapters.com
My Business Law professor told me about this place last night in class, and I'd never heard of it before.
Basically, it's a place you can buy your textbooks online, by the chapter. Since we're only using about 16 chapters of the book, I don't have to buy the whole thing--I can just get the chapters I need off of this website.
If your syllibus tells you you're not using the whole chapter, you can get the textbook chapters individually through this website.
Check them out! The first chapter of every E-Book is FREE!
