Mia has been taking piano lessons from Mammy. She is doing great and is almost done with the first book.
Emma can't wait until she is done, because then she gets to start piano lessons. Mia has been giving her some tips already.
I am excited for Emma to get through the first book, then I get to start piano lessons.

For those of you who don't know, we LOVE Dave Ramsey in our home. He has great finacial advice and ways that you can live peaceful knowing you don't have huge debt looming over you. His boks are great and inspiring. If you haven't read anything by him go check out a book at the library!
Anyway, Dave Ramsey will be a holding a nationwide seminar entitled Town Hall For Hope. In this seminar he will be talking about the economy and how it affects us, what we need to do to be at peace, how we can still get out of debt and live debt free in this economy as welll as direct questions about 401Ks, homes, cars, credit cards, saving money, etc! It will be chock full of great information.

We just started using Paperback Swap, and so far we are enjoying it. What you do is you list as many books a you want, start with 10 to get your first 2 credits. A credit is what you use to get a book. When you send out a book you get one credit and you can use that credit to get one book from another member. Each book is worth 1 credit, audio books are worth 2.
What happens if you don't have any credits and someone lists a book that you want? Well you have a few options, list more books and hope someone wants them, see what books others have on their wish list and see you have it and list, or you can purchase a credit so you can get the book you want right away.
I just listed my first few books about two days ago and I have already had 8 members request a book. So, my 2 credits + the 8 credits I will receive for sending out these books will give me 10 credits!
I get 10 credits = 10 books! You know how much we LOVE books at our house!
You do have to pay to ship the books to someone else, but you don't have to pay to have the books shipped to you. Once you get the books they are yours. You can read them and relist them or you can keep them. It's totally up to you!

Over at GasBuddy.com, they're giving the cheapest local gas prices for different cities.
I'll be honest--it's not a perfect system yet, but the more people that start using it, the more accurate it will become.
So I hearby encourage everybody to go over and start nosing around, then tell your friends about it, so that all of us can just go on the internet in the morning and find the cheapest gas prices on our commute to work.
Sometimes I'll see emails saying to boycott this gas company or that gas company because if everbody boycotts them, that will force the prices down.
That doesn't make any sense.
The price of any product is the result of the balance between supply and demand. If everybody in the country suddenly started using 6 different gas station companies instead of 8, that means more people would be competing for those six station's business.
Think of it this way--let's say four kids on your block sold lemonade. And suddenly, everybody, one day, decided to stop buying from one little kid, no matter what. That would mean the other three kids would run out of lemonade faster. Which means they could start charging more until they had the right price for the new, increased demand to balance out to where they weren't running out of lemonade so fast.
It's the same with gasoline. Buy from less stations, it means increased demand for those stations. That means prices go up.
So the real way to drive the prices down is by buying from whatever station has the cheapest gas, no matter what the brand of the gas is.
So by using something like GasBuddy.com, we can do what we, as consumers in a free market, are supposed to do--be informed about prices, and go with the cheapest one.
Seriously, with Gas being as huge an expense as it's becoming for most of us, can we really afford to just drive around, hoping we'll see a cheap station? Let's get informed.
